Thermal Imaging

Fire Safe ANZ uses Thermography testing as a diagnostic procedure to detect abnormal temperature variations in electrical installations such as distribution boards and the electronic controls of large machinery.

Our thermal imaging services use cameras with infra-red technology to detect temperature variation and “hot-spots” caused by circuit overloading and loose wiring connection. This technology can detect major issues before an electrical fire or equipment damage can occur.

Early detection and corrective action will save downtime cost and avoid a possible catastrophe.

Frequently encountered faults:

Faults that could potentially occur with thermal imaging technology include, but is not limited to:

  • Loose connections / screws
  • Overloaded circuits; this could cause the overheating of certain electrical equipment
  • Aged porcelain circuit breakers

Testing Frequency: Annually
